Fresh Fish? Well it doesn’t get fresher than Ian Spinks and his Arbroath Smokies which are smoked on-site on the day for you to eat (get extra to take home too)!
Outside there is a host of fresh food stalls for you to enjoy wholesome cooked food such as – Hog Roast, Stovies, Fresh Pizza from a wood burning oven and freshly ground coffee to wash it down.
The ScotFest Drinks Den is new for 2011 and will play host to some rather special Scottish names in the drinks industry……. stepping inside will be an experience itself.
Within this dedicated zone we will introduce you to a range of quality Scottish brands from well known names through to boutique brands and hidden gems. You can enjoy free sampling, learn the history of the brands and different ways to enjoy them and once you have found your favourite why not buy some to take home and enjoy.
With a fully licensed bar and seating area in the Den, you can relax with a rich malt, local ale or a cocktail whilst you decide which is your favourite tipple – expect a few cocktail flare shows from the guys at LA Bartenders to keep this area lively!
We ask that you please drink responsibly and drinking is only allowed within the designated Drinks Den where seating is provided. Children under 18 are allowed in this area only when accompanied by an adult.
For the Craft and Design Lovers
ScotFest started life purely as a food festival, but in response to visitor feedback, we introduced Craft and Design exhibitors 2 years ago and have seen interest in this aspect of the festival continue to grow. We have remained true to the ethos of ScotFest in only showcasing talent which is based in Scotland and we are continually amazed at the wide range of talented people who join us at ScotFest each year and this year is no exception. Visit our Craft and Design Exhibitors and marvel at their creative ideas.
Exhibitors range from: Driftwood Carvings – Designer Silver Jewellery – Oil Paintings and Designer Kitchenware from Jamie Oliver….treats…..treats….treats!
Within the Discover Clackmannanshire Exhibition we will have on display an exclusive Glass Exhibition made by local businesses – well worth a look.
Outdoor Entertainment
We have our very own ScotFest Encampment for you to visit and discover what life might have been like had you been here 1000 years ago!
Visit the encampment and try your hand at the ancient arts of cooking, baking, spinning, weaving and carding. If you are feeling more adventurous then try on the armour which would have been worn, learn how to use the different weapons and have a go at archery
How about some traditional Scottish Music (with a difference?) – Clanadonia will be playing throughout the day between Noon and 3pm with their mix of high energy Scottish Pipes and Drums – These guys are simply amazing – we are sure you will like them just as much as we do.
Additional children’s entertainment will include a mini assault course provided by Hillfoots Rugby Club, Free Face Painting, Bungee Trampolines and a small selection of rides.
